Water engineering

Analysis of water-related problems and their implications on several Engineering branches.

Special attention is dedicated to prevent water pollution and to preserve ecosystem equilibrium, to design, construction and management of landscape protection works as well as of water resources and energy utilization systems, including sea wave energy. Research topics include: hydrologic processes leading to run-off,  river flood forecasting, design and management of hydraulic networks, mechanics of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, flow in porous media, fluvial hydromorphodynamics, littoral dynamics and coastal engineering, pollutant dispersion.
